2005_02_17: Suspected Serial Killer shot dead	Baliwasan
A suspected serial killer finally met his death when unidentified gunman shot him dead last Tuesday night in Baliwasan this city. Killed was Adil Albani, of legal age, and a resident of the said place. He sustained three bullet wounds in the head and died on the spot. Initial police investigation disclosed that prior to his killing last Tuesday, he was the subject of a police manhunt for his alleged involvement in a series of killings in Baliwasan. He earlier managed to escape the police dragnet in Mampang where he went into hiding after learning the police were tracking him down. Albani was tagged as involved in a string of fatal stabbings mostly fishermen that included a boat skipper last year. He was also suspected as having participated in the cold-blooded murder of a 50-year-old Chinese businesswoman from Sta. Maria who was shot inside a motorized tricycle last October in Baliwasan Chico while on her way to Interco where she also worked as its firm secretary. Witnesses described Albani as notorious in their neighborhood who boasted of possessing an amulet that protected him from harm. "But last night (Tuesday), he was gunned down by his assailant while drinking in the place. Accordingly, he could not be killed even by bullets," a police source disclosed.
