An Ohio native, born in 1941, Taylor was suspected of no more than routine traffic violations when Nashville, Tennessee, patrolmen pulled him over on September 4, 1978. The officers were skeptical when Taylor told them, "I'm glad you stopped me; I just committed a murder," but their doubts vanished after he directed them to the body of 36-year-old David Willie, dumped in a downtown alley. Police in Chicago's South Side said that on August 20, 2001, they arrested a man and charged with raping and strangling four drug-addicted prostitutes over a two-month period. The suspect, 27-year-old Kevin Taylor, left a fifth woman for dead over after arguing with her over the price for sex. [ReadOn]

A native of tiny Woodlawn, Illinois, the future death angel of Florida grew up overweight, myopic, and painfully shy. Her seven siblings included four brothers afflicted with muscular dystrophy, two of whom would die from the disease before Bobbie Sue reached her mid-thirties. [ReadOn]

One evening in December 1985, Curtis Brown, a 21-year-old black man, left his home in Atlanta, Georgia, to purchase a package of cigarettes. Five hours later, when an unidentified corpse was discovered in Dean Rusk Park, no connection was made.
